OK, to simplify this… which is what anybody who searched and ended up here wanted in the first place. Step by step.

Log into you hosting backend, if not already installed, you need to install phpmyadmin, ( generally available as a ” one click install” by a lot of hosting companies now, if one click not available, go search for how to upload and install phpmyadmin )

    Open phpmy admin,

View the database that relates to oscommerce (will probably be called oscomsomething by default if you didn’t custom name at install )

    Find the table called “administrators”

CLick the option to “empty” this table.

when asked if you want to truncate, say yes.

    exit phpmyadmin.

Go back to your oscom admin login link.

it will tell you that no admins are created and will allow you to create a brand new admin user and password.

Simple… and simple to explain to people who ask for help!!!
